Insider Info

Pronouns: (optional) she / her / hers

Marital status: Married my best friend on 10.15.21 at Oyster Bay Yacht Club on Amelia Island. We were almost a COVID couple, but our long engagement worked in our favor! We actually got engaged during the initial two-week lockdown – way better than the skydiving proposal he had planned (if you ask me!).

Where I live: Sunny Tampa, Florida.

Favorite things: I absolutely love live theatre, the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, beach days with my Myles guy, traveling, mozzarella sticks, my family and friends, a crispy Dr. Pepper or Dunkin’ iced caramel coffee, crafting (you should see my craft closet!), Indiana sweet corn in the summer, foodie date nights with my hubby, our lab/rottie mix Ripley, and baseball hats – always.

Favorite wedding detail: We sped through all the reception formalities – family dances, speeches, intros – so we could get straight to dinner and the fun dancing. I loved seeing so many of our favorite people from all different walks of life enjoying the music together. Our crew sure knows how to get down! No one even noticed when the bar closed because everyone was too busy tearing up the dance floor.

Best advice to couples: On your wedding day, stay by each other’s side. It’s so easy to get pulled in different directions visiting with guests, but make time for intentional moments together. Grab each other’s hand and take mental snapshots: look around during the ceremony, really sit and enjoy dinner, tune everything out during a slow dance, or steal a quiet moment while taking photos. My husband still talks about how thankful he is that we did this.

Words to live by: What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” —Jane Goodall

How I spend my free time: I’m a proud mama to a fun toddler guy, Myles, who keeps me on my toes! When I do find free time, I’m a new member of the Junior League of Tampa and love volunteering in my community. This incredible group of women supports everything from diaper banks to adoption match events and foster youth mentoring – and it truly fills my cup.

What did you do before working at Here Comes The Guide? Whew – I’ve worn a lot of hats! I started out as a conference and events manager in hotels, then jumped into recreation (basically an on-land cruise director!) at the largest pool deck space on Florida’s east coast. After meeting my husband and moving to Tampa, I pivoted to teaching elementary math and science (I know…what?!). I quickly realized I missed weddings, so I joined an Indian/South Asian wedding planning company before launching my own business as a virtual assistant for wedding pros – handling all the behind-the-scenes systems that keep a biz running. And finally, I landed my dream role at HCTG!
